Let’s Get the Efforts Started:

On January 18th the Hubbard Family lost their century and four generation farm. Their main barn. burned down, containing all of their ewes, resulting in a total loss.

The Hubbards do not have insurance on their barn or livestock. They had planned to do some renovations this coming spring, which would have allowed them to qualify for insurance.

The lost their century farm, and part of their family legacy is in ashes. But we are community that rallies! All donations will fully go to the family.

Losses include: 40-50 pregnant ewes (what would be 60-80 baby lambs) and 3,200 square foot century barn. Rebuilding is estimated to be about $227,000, not including fencing and feed.

It might take 100 years to rebuild a century barn, but we can help this family rebuild on their ashes.

The Keller and Shaw family will be there to help with site clean up.

Hay Convoy

How it started:  one man’s confessed desire to fill a need in the midsts of devastation. This is the text from Kelton to me Oct 1 with the hope of bringing ONE trailer of hay to Boone, NC… And then one more text. And one more call and Facebook post later, there was a mission made that was moving faster than any one of us really had our thoughts around.

By October 15th we were 52 trailers and 100+ people bringing supplies down to North Carolina. 100+ people from Ohio said “yes, I’ll go. Send me.” WHY? Because when God says “GATHER AND GO” you know the mission WILL make it! Because the mission was clear for every single one of your convoy: get the blessing to the hurting.
