Support local 4H member Carson:

This week at the Medina County Fair, 4-H member Carson Steidl faced something no kid should have to experience. His junior fair market hog, the animal he raised, cared for, and poured an entire year of hard work into, unexpectedly had a seizure and passed away.

Carson was set to sell that hog tomorrow at the market livestock sale. He would have walked away with $1,500–$2,000 for his project — money earned through early mornings, late nights, responsibility, and pure grit. That won’t happen now.

But here’s the truth about what the fair sale really means. More often than not, buyers aren’t just filling their freezers. They’re standing behind a young person. They’re saying “I see your work. I believe in your future. Keep going.”

Even though this hog can’t go home with anyone, we can still stand behind Carson the same way. We can still honor the year he put in — the care, the tenacity, the fortitude it takes to raise a market animal from start to finish.

If you’re able, please consider supporting Carson. Every dollar given will be collected and handed to him as a check during the sale tomorrow so he still walks away knowing his community showed up for him.

This is how a community, our KELLER COMMUNITY helps GROW TOMORROWS FUTURE 🍀

Let’s make sure this hardworking 4-H kid still feels the support he earned.

Thank you for standing with Carson.
